It does! The sauce is amazing, so rich. Well, knowing Colorado, you'll probably have a cold snap soon...

Hmmmmmmmmm If it wasn't almost 90 here today that would be my dinner plan. My meatball recipe has always been 1/2 beef 1/4 pork 1/4 veal. I almost never use the veal. Maybe I should try again. I have also never cooked them entirely in the sauce. I imagine it would give the sauce quite a flavor!!

Made this tonight. John and I LOVED it. If it were over pasta Nini would have gobbled it up, but alas it was over polenta cakes and roasted vegetables. We will try again over pasta, but it was delicious!!!

Nini LOVES pesto so this will be a good one to try, especially if we have as many basil plants as we did last year! We still have some basil packed in oil in our freezer!

I can't get it to play...wonder if it is the MAC. I will try at work tomorrow, but I do think it is funny that the ad played even though the video didn't. The ad was for a no-marinade flavor boost from Swansons. Funny.

Ah...if only I knew about this two weeks ago. Leonoras cupcakes would not have been the 'ugliest cupcakes made with love (and lots of marshmallows'. I am impressed at your decorating prowess, and Rosa's. I will be calling for tips come March next year!

This past weekend, I finally got around to reading the September issue of Parents, and I found the article with you as dinner coach. I was so excited by the recipes and prep-work concept that I ran right out and bought the ingredients to try out your 5-day plan. Sunday I did the prep-work you recommended, and so far this week dinner has been fantastic! Your suggestions and recipes have been an absolute lifesaver. My kids have loved the food, even though it's healthy, and everything has been fast and easy to throw together thanks to the prep-work. Everyone is happy! I'm enjoying reading your blog now, too.

I love all the dishes you are thinking about! I wish we had more than five people or I would branch out more. My mom is a traditionalist and if I break from tradition with the few we have there is trouble!

[...] Last year, I made it a goal to break from tradition and try all new dishes for Thanksgiving. This year, I’m going to mix and match. I really missed my mom’s cornbread-sausage stuffing (the essence of Thanksgiving for me), so it’s going back on the menu. I’ll probably stick with tried and true buttermilk mashed potatoes, but maybe mix up the green veg with the kale and brussels sprouts salad recipe I saw in Bon Appetit. Instead of sweet potatoes I’ll revisit a butternut squash casserole I loved. [...]
