Since launching Rosaberry nearly three years ago people often ask me which aspect of my work I like the best — teaching or providing personal chef services. Luckily for me, I love both. I truly enjoy helping people reach their culinary potential through classes, but there’s something equally satisfying in knowing that a busy family will be able to sit down to a healthful, delicious meal after a long day.
My cooking style and passion for flavorful food evolved from both formal training and life experience. I have a Culinary Arts degree from The Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan and have spent time in both restaurant and catering kitchens. I have traveled to four continents and draw upon the flavors I found there in my cooking, with a special emphasis on Mediterranean cuisine. But, as a wife and a mother of a five-year-old I know the value of simple, delicious meals that can be put together at a moment’s notice.
I am also a food writer and recipe developer. My work has appeared on NBC Universal’s iVillage website, and I am a regular contributor to New York Family Magazine’s food blog Yummy Delicious and BrunchCritic.com.
